Farnaz is a Tehran-born Vancouver-based artist who is recognized for her pioneering efforts of redefining an upcoming fusion genre: "Persian Flamenco." She grew up in an environment and culture where singing was not allowed or encouraged and she now sings with the intention of empowering all women, especially those from her home country of Iran.
