Glaring up at him, Odette hissed, “I won’t answer any more of your questions. You can torture me as much as you like.”
A bright flash of lightning lit up the tool in his hand. Slowly, a malignant smile crept across his face. “Oh, Odette, my dear girl, how could I refuse such a generous offer?”
