We rewind to our original run in 2020 during an unseasonably warm, pandemic-era race complete with face coverings at the start, a smart staggered send-off, a brewery stop, pizza in a brick warehouse district, and the unforgettable moment we were briefly the last runners on the course—with a police escort to prove it. We also touch on travel, finish-line hotels, course growth over the years, and why this race didn’t wow or disappoint… it just quietly did its job.
