US stocks swung up overnight, as investors sought risk following the dip at the end of last week and a seismic drop in precious metals. Gold continued to fall, as did oil and Hong Kong stocks. But Bitcoin rebounded a little, though it's 30% fall from October is now understood to represent a loss of investor confidence.
