This week a group of fourteen South Asian women are embarking on the journey of a lifetime....climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
These are mums, grandmas, wives, daughters, all with responsibilities. But they've chosen to take two weeks out of their lives to challenge themselves and to achieve something that will inspire generations to come.
In this episode I'm joined by two of these women, Kiran Kaur Kondal and Simran Kaur Nyote. We talk pre-expedition nerves, finding a sisterhood, and what the trip means to each of them....the mountain is a metaphor for so much more.
