The Better Helper — Hebrews 2:10–18

Jesus Helps Us…

1. By sharing our humanity and struggles (vs. 10-14a)

• Jesus’ suffering equipped Him to help us completely (perfectly).
• Jesus knows our world from the inside:
  • He lived with limits, poverty, and pressure.
  • He felt exhaustion, grief, and relational disappointment.
  • He faced temptation head‑on and understands its weight.
• Because He lived what we live, He is the better helper—one who truly understands.

1. By breaking the power of death (vs. 14b-15)

• Jesus shattered death’s power.
• Jesus frees us from the fear of dying.
• Jesus helps us face the valley of death without terror.

III. With compassion, mercy, and real-time support (vs. 16-18)

• Jesus draws near.
• Jesus has walked our road.
• Jesus is the ultimate example.

Conclusion

• Walk with the One who stepped into your humanity, felt your pain, faced your temptations, carried your sorrows, and broke the power of death itself.
