I first learned about this case several years ago and it has been haunting me ever since. This case is devastating and just goes to show how important it is to follow protocols when obtaining evidence and DNA at a crime scene. In 1993, these protocols didn't exist, so it was no fault of the officers working the case... but the fact remains that by handling evidence the way that they did is the reason this case remains unsolved to this day.
