Our identities tend to center around who we think we are or who we are in relation to those we are around (community), which leaves us building ourselves up with something very unstable and can result in a lack of self-esteem. Instead, we need to be seeing identity as "something to be received, not achieved" (Pastor Ben). This Sunday, we learned the value of centering our identity in Christ and how rooting our confidence in God will give us freedom from the feeling of insecurity.
