Key Truth: Jesus read from Isaiah 61 in the synagogue and declared, “Today this scripture has been fulfilled.” He revealed Himself as the promised Messiah who brings good news, freedom, and healing. Christmas celebrates the beginning of this mission.

Isaiah foretold the coming of God’s anointed one who would bring good news, bind up the brokenhearted, and proclaim freedom. In Luke 4, Jesus declared that this prophecy was fulfilled in Him. Christmas is the joyful announcement that the Messiah has come—not in splendor, but in humility—to restore, heal, and set free. His mission continues today, inviting us to live in His light and join Him in bringing hope to the world.
