1. Take notes during your appointments.
2. Stay off google and ask questions of experts!
3. Be prepared for long appointments, especially at first: Bring a light jacket, water, and a snack. 
4. Advocate for yourself!
5. Ask for medical oncology referrals
6. Consider a biopsy
7. Lean into social support networks
8. Process your diagnosis on your timeline; it’s okay to set boundaries!
9. Seek emotional and mental support from professionals as you need it.
10. Maintain hope, seek joy, and look for the gifts!
