In 1910 at his third movie studio, Edison's Bronx cinema team created the first monster movie. The film was lost for most of the 20th century until a copy was shockingly unearthed in the late 70s and restored. We discuss the film, its situation within Frankenstein and film media, and sad bastard gothic artificial men and their lovely makeup jobs.
