Outside The Chute sits down and chats with an 11 year old girl you may not have heard about yet, but trust me, you soon will.
Abigail Tolton is from Ontario and pitches for the Waterloo Ghosts and the Central Florida Stars and is already being talked about by some of the biggest names in softball.
She threw 2 no hitters while winning the Ontario provincial championship and in her last season had 277 strikeouts in 100 innings and gave up just 5 runs total. She has won numerous tournament MVPs and was selected to pitch in the USSSA All American Games in Florida.
I talked to Abby about how she got her start in the game, some of the famous softball players she gets to call friends, the importance of women’s sports, and we even have a special guest appearance by Amanda Scarborough of ESPN.
Abby’s knowledge of the men’s and women’s game is truly remarkable. I didn’t expect to be talking about the pros and cons of various riseball grips with an 11 year old. She even does an analysis of my delivery.
I really think this is a great podcast for you to listen to with your kids and if you are like me, you will forget you are listening to an 11 year old when you hear Abby’s answers.
