After capping his time at Temple with third-team All-America and first-team all-conference honors, Matt Ioannidis forged a seven-year career in the NFL, including six seasons in Washington and one reunited with his former college head coach Matt Rhule with the Carolina Panthers. Ioannidis joined us on The Scoop this week to talk about his time in the NFL, explained his decision to retire at the age of 29, and reflected upon Temple’s 2015 season that included the win over Penn State and the arrival of College GameDay in Philadelphia as the Owls nearly knocked off Notre Dame. He shared his thoughts on the current financial landscape of college football and much more in an interview you can only get here.
We also recapped the largest comeback win in the history of the Temple women’s basketball program and talked about how far Temple’s core four of Derrian Ford, Aiden Tobiason, Jordan Mason and Gavin Griffiths can take the Owls in March.
