The term Gatekeeper is often used to describe duties of the White House Chief of Staff. The term itself has negative connotations associated with it. On this podcast we give a historical overview of how White House Chief’s of Staff have played Gatekeeper. The issues and problems encountered. Then we discuss a more appropriate model for “gatekeeping” flows from the operating rhythm and decision making process.
