Episode 338 features singer and guitarist Jason Duncan from the band Cult Therapy. They are an indie rock band from Flint, Michigan. Jason grew up in a religious cult, where fear, shame, and guilt dictated every aspect of life. As an adult, Duncan is untangling the lessons of his upbringing, confronting the echoes of control, and carving out his own path to freedom. This messy, cathartic process—the extraordinary highs and profound lows—forms the raw, beating heart of Cult Therapy. It was a very in-depth and candid interview, and I certainly appreciate Jason sharing his experiences. I featured their song ‘Therapy and Drugs,’ and if you like it, you can stream it wherever you listen to music. Find them on socials for their upcoming shows. Thanks for listening and supporting local artists.
