With a Master of Arts, Archives/Archival Administration, and coursework in Spiritualism in Abolition and Suffrage, Jessica Newell is the archivist for the Edgar Cayce Foundation. She fell in love with history on childhood wanderings through Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia. Newell has a Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Evansville, and a Master’s in Archival Studies from East Tennessee State University. She also has professional experience in museums and historical interpretation. Edgar Cayce (1877-1945) was known as the "sleeping prophet," conducting more than 14,000 readings on topics of health, past lives, and much more. His library, healing spa, and archives are based in Virginia Beach, VA. Today, we talk about Cayce's scope of work and how the Edgar Cayce Foundation and preserved and expanded upon it.
