Carl Jung used images like the “fire inside” to describe the vital inner energy of the psyche—the driving force that pushes a person toward growth, transformation, and individuation (becoming whole).
🔥 The Fire as Psychic Energy
For Jung, the psyche is not static—it is alive, fueled by what he called libido (not just sexual drive, but creative life energy).
This “fire” represents the passion, drive, and spiritual energy within each person.
It burns most intensely when we are in conflict or transition.
