Back from just about two weeks in London, Paris, and Normandy. I was able to witness the turmoil of the US POTUS election from a very unique perspective, from across the pond, surrounded by many people from different backgrounds. What stuck with me most, was the two days in Normandy, and all that went into D-Day 80 years ago, Operation Overlord which was the beginning of the end for fascism and the incredible line in the sand drawn by thousands of young men, who gave their last full measure to a cause greater than themselves, a character trait that has given way to a world of "it's all about me."
