Back after a self-imposed hiatus, a 12-day trip to the African continent, and a cruise up (and down) the Nile River in Egypt. This episode could easily be titled "The Heat of Egypt" because it's the hottest place I've ever spent time on Earth. When this picture was taken, the heat index was 125°F, and I felt like my internal organs were melting into the desert sands. I had to take along my Svengoolie Swag to put a stake in the map for the legendary horror host and,the land, its people, poverty, history, and treasures were worth the air hours it took to get there, and back. A serious perspective shift.
