Description

Regenerative Change Agents - a podcast about people improving the world.

In the first season we hear from regenerative change agents who are paving the way towards a new way of living in the world by using tourism as a catalyst to spread the regenerative mindset and practices around our globe.

John Hummel is passionate about regenerative living and working in mountain areas. He designed and implemented integrated development and tourism initiatives in the Himalaya, combining expertise in sustainable rural livelihoods, convivial conservation, climate resilience, and micro and small enterprise development. For the last 30 years he has advised national and local tourism organisations, specifically focussing on pro-poor sustainable tourism development initiatives in Asian and African countries. Recently he has been supporting the SUSTOUR and Voice for Green Change Partnership projects in Bhutan. Eight years ago, he co-founded the Okharbot Organic Farm, a regenerative agriculture innovation and demonstration centre with a culinary overnight stay just East of Kathmandu, in Nepal. John has always been co-creating learning and research together with students and researchers to holistically analyse the regenerative potential of landscapes and communities.
