From the beginning, God's plan was not just to forgive us, but to bring us home through the process of adoption (Ephesians 1:5). Jesus promised that we would not be left as orphans (John 14:18), and through the Spirit, we are no longer fearful slaves but beloved sons and daughters (Romans 8:15). These facts must cause us to ask: are we living like children of the Father, or still carrying the mindset of orphans?
