Music's personal, right? Michael Sweet's voice is iconic. It’s time to talk Stryper again, as we’re up to Reborn for our Stryper album reviews. This time we thought it would be fun to compare it to the updated and redone version; Reborn Again by Michael Sweet. We are also joined by Lee Haley of One Bad Pig. First, Lee shares his journey with One Bad Pig and then reflects on the lasting legacy of Stryper in the Christian rock scene. The discussion, though, isn’t the comparison Arin thought it would be, as Kris admits to listening to only Reborn and it has been a while since Lee listened to the two versions. Despite this, we do get into the differences in production quality between the two albums, the role of ballads in rock music, the themes present in Stryper's lyrics, explore the evolution of Stryper's sound, and the songwriting process behind the music.
