On December 24, 1971 LANSA Flight 508 from Lima to Pucallpa Peru took off against warnings of severe weather threats. The plane was struck by lightning and crashed over the Amazon rainforest, the only survivor, a 17 year old girl, named Juliane Koepcke, and little did she know her survival story was just beginning….
