During the months of June, July, and August of this year, Katrina and I will be stepping back from our pastoral assignments and responsibilities to focus on:

• Deep Rest and Delight
• Hearing God’s voice even more clearly as his children.
• And remembering that our identity in Christ is distinct from calling as under shepherds in His Church. 

This is a planned sabbatical. It has been in the plans for a number of years and is part of the long term sustainability plan for life in ministry. 

"This morning, I want to share about four things: A biblical precedent for sabbatical rest, the purpose of sabbatical rest, what that purpose is and what it isn’t, the plan for this incredible congregation during our rest, and the benefits for our family and for South Everett Foursquare."
