We speak with Tama Potaka (Minister for Māori Development, Conservation, Whānau Ora, Māori Crown Relations and Associate Minister of Housing) to ask how he and this government are working to protect Te Tiriti o Waitangi at a time when so many of their actions suggest the opposite.
We ask Tama for his stance on the Te Mana o te Wai claim and Hinurewa challenges the Minister directly about Section 4 of the Conservation Act, which requires the Crown to give effect to the principles of Te Tiriti. So, will he make the pledge to uphold that clause?
