Have you ever been able to book a hotel through an airline portal and also been able to get benefits from your status with that hotel? Example using the United travel portal to book a night at a Hyatt then at check in giving your member number and getting benefits from your status. (I’m thinking of booking a night at a Hilton through the AAdvantage Hotel portal, getting my 10X AA miles from that, giving my Hilton Honors number for breakfast and paying $50 on my Amex Bus Plat for credit and the rest on my aspire card for extra Hilton points) - Anthony

- Over the holiday, while “on assignment,” I has a severe customer service issue at a Hilton property. After talking to front desk, Amex (as I booked via Amex travel portal), and Hilton customer service it was resolved.
