When someone comes up with a battle plan, they study their enemy and the tactics that they may use in battle. After they've learned enough about their enemy, they come up with their plan and think through possible contingencies. But as the famous boxer Mike Tyson once said, "Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth."
For a long time, Christians have looked at the Temptation of Jesus in order to formulate their plan for when Satan comes to tempt them. The problem is that no one has it in them to defeat Satan on their own. Satan has taken down man after man, woman after woman for just about as long as time has existed.
The best battle plan is Jesus, Jesus, only Jesus. Jesus squared off with Satan and won! He never sinned, not once! And because Jesus took that perfect life and sacrificed it on the cross for you... his victory is your victory!
