In this episode of the Sustainability & You podcast Carolina Descio Wittred and I interview Mark Manning on Transition Planning. We talk about what Transition Planning is, why have one, best practice and explore where it is heading. In particular we talk about Transition Planning as a value creation tool and some of the practicalities of developing one.
Mark Manning is a Visiting Senior Fellow at the Centre for Economic Transition Expertise, CETEx, at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and an independent advisor on sustainable finance with a number of organisations across policy, standard setting and civil society. These include the IFRS Foundation, Chapter Zero, the World Bank, and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development. His main focus areas are transition planning, systems change, sustainability reporting and sustainable investment. Mark spent much of his prior career as a regulator and central banker, working with the Financial Conduct Authority, the Bank of England and the Reserve Bank of Australia.
