Description

On this weeks episode Kirra Pinkerton talks about how she started surfing at just two years old. At 11, she paddled out to 8-foot Hanalei with her dad, Jim, and quickly discovered her lack of fear and love of adrenaline. It was that day she knew she wanted to ride big waves. She began competing on the QS in 2014 and became the 𝐖𝐒𝐋 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧 at 16. Kirra is currently competing in the 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬, with her sights set on earning a spot on the 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫 (𝐂𝐓) and she's already had a few opportunities as a wildcard. She shares her love for traveling, including the eight months she spent in Bali during COVID. Kirra also names her top five favorite surfers and gives us the inside scoop on what it was like to paddle out at Jaws. Plus, she recounts how incredible it was to surf that mysto wave during the 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 event.
