When you feel powerless you choose a platform to publicly rebel so that you cover your emptiness. Rebellion is a false sense of power.
Why do you act out, rebel, etc… selfishness - its all about me. I am empty, I am entitled, I am important (because I truly don’t feel important) I matter and my opinion matters… because internally I don’t feel like I matter or like my opinion matters.
Listen to this verse.
Proverbs 16:32 one who rules his spirit is better than one who captures a city.
It is far more important that you rule your spirit, keep it under Gods control and act out in the fruits of the spirit than it is for you to rampage on social media about what ever cause you are trying to conquer.
Chew on that one for a second. Sweat that one out. It is far more important to God that you rule your heart, control your heart, control your spirit than it is for you to change that cause you are ranting about.
Yes we as Christians are just as guilty as non christians.
Finally… we have forgotten the purpose of our walk- its not to point out all the things that are wrong? Did Jesus do that? He had the opportunity and the power to showcase everyones sins… but his purpose was the gospel.
Look -personally I am to busy to trash, yell, argue, road rage about any of the so called controversial things that are going on in our country - the only thing that is going to change our country is the gospel. If you are not actively sharing Jesus - you my friend are the problem.
