Through the finished work of Jesus Christ, believers have been brought into fellowship with the Father and made members of Christ’s body, called to express His life and love in the earth. Understanding who we are in Him transforms how we live: servanthood becomes an expression of belonging, and ministry flows from our relationship with God. Jesus demonstrated this life by washing His disciples’ feet, revealing that spiritual greatness finds its expression in humble service. As we grow in the revelation of our identity in Christ, we recognize that every encounter offers an opportunity to extend His compassion, generosity, and grace.
This transformation unfolds as the Holy Spirit renews our minds through the Word of God, bringing our thoughts and actions into agreement with what Christ has already accomplished. Knowing biblical truths intellectually is only the beginning; those truths must shape our responses to people and the circumstances of everyday life. Fellowship with the Father nurtures that growth, freeing us from condemnation and teaching us to trust His provision. Christian maturity, therefore, is the continuing discovery and expression of Christ’s life within us—a life that receives freely from Him, serves others in love, and continues faithfully in His purpose.
