A hall pass by definition is a piece of paper or other token authorizing a student to be outside a particular classroom while class is in session. A hall pass in a relationship is a verbal or possibly non verbal agreement that if given the chance to "be outside" or in other words, inside a particular person, typically a celebrity, it would be permitted during said hall pass.
