In 1505, when Michelangelo said yes to a gig from Pope Julius II that fell outside Michelangelo’s focused skillset, he famously said, “Non è La Mia Arte” - “Not My Art!”
I’m about the same age he was at that time, just 5 centuries later, and I find his story strangely relevant to modern-day gig-culture.
