Description

These are the readings for the Second Sunday after Pentecost; Genesis 12:1-9 and Psalm 33:1-12, Hosea 5:15-6:6 and Psalm 50:7-15, Romans 4:13-25, and Matthew 9:9-13, 18-26.  What if trust isn't just a spiritual virtue — but something written into your biology? This week we dig into the common thread of faith and trust that runs through Abraham's radical journey, Hosea's call to return, Paul's letter to the Romans, and Jesus's healings in Matthew. We explore the neuroscience of oxytocin — the "moral molecule" — and what it reveals about why vulnerability, empathy, and trust are central to both human flourishing and the life of faith. Your faith has made you well — and science might just help explain why. Let me know what you think of it.

Remember to answer this week's question:
When was the last time you really let oxytocin take hold? #FaithandSciPod
