Description

On this episode of the podcast, Cara Conrad conducts and co-produces an fantastic and outstanding interview with me in person. This is Cara's very first time on the podcast. Sophie Homonoff also is interviewed by Cara during portions of the show.

Cara. Sophie, and I had lots of two way conversation on several topics such as:

a. Memories and favorite moments from our Valley High School - West Des Moines days regarding a few longtime VHS staff members and teachers as well as both Cara and I participating in the Valley choral music programs.

b. Things about the types of music that I enjoy listening to as well as a few thoughts from Cara on the music she enjoys. I talk at length about the Jazz-Rock type of rock music where 3 to 5 piece brass/woodwind sections are just as front and center as the drums/percussion, keyboards, bass, guitars, and vocals are.

c. I talk with Cara about one of my favorite movies The Blues Brothers (the original 1980 film) and I go into detail on an Extended version of this film that has around 13 or so minutes of additional scenes which weren't in the final version of the movie that played in the movie theaters and aired on various cable TV networks.

d. For about several minutes during the podcast, Cara and Sophie delve into some clean gossip about trees and yardwork.

e. Then Cara and I share a couple more favorite moments from our VHS years. The moments I share have to do with the two years I was part of the KWDM Radio family, and also a special American Citizenship Award I got right before I graduated from VHS in May 1994.

We recorded our podcast in Sophie's back yard on Thursday March 30, 2023 and our EPIC conversation lasts 1 hour and 12 minutes. As is the case with all of "The Juice with Jeff" podcasts, funding for this podcast is provided by Realty With Ahart and RandomKid. Enjoy!!!
