Description

Guilt and shame were often the bedrock of our bottoms. Our behavior is often so shameful that the last thing we want to do is talk about it outloud. Only when we have recovered and shared that story honestly to others who are struggling do we begin to know the value of our stories.

This week’s warstory is a special one.  Britnee is not only a grateful food addict but also Cameron’s sister. When you hear her talk about what it was like to compromise her morals and relationships for food, you’ll be sure to see the similarities in our addictions. It’s those similarities, and the recovery that is spoken of after, that we begin to feel hope. Hope becomes the bedrock of our recovery.

Our stories have power, even if we don’t always see it. Thank you Britnee for sharing your story!
