Description

It was past midnight when I walked alone through Greenwich Village, the city emptied of sound and color. I wasn’t looking for anything — only trying to escape the silence that waited for me at home.

Then I turned a corner and saw it. A diner glowing like a small ship of light against the darkness. Three strangers inside, each lost in thought, yet bound together by the same quiet emptiness I felt in myself.

In that moment, I understood what I’d been trying to paint all along — the light between us, and the loneliness it reveals.
