I’m not very good at taking pictures, but sometimes I really like to try and capture one of my wife and me as we hike. I do so though by taking a shot of our shadows on the ground. Maybe you do as well, and know where I am headed with this. That shadow picture only represents the real her and I. Now, I love the representation, but there is never a time that I would prefer the shadow over the real person. This week, the writer of the Hebrews is going to help us understand that very thought -Jesus is better in every way than the old covenant. Yet, that doesn’t mean the old was bad, only that it was a shadow of the real thing. Now that the Son has come, the real deal is way better than the shadow representation of Him.
