Maturing and aging are NOT the same thing. What is the difference? Well, again I found a terrific word picture in Spurgeon’s book Flowers from a Puritan’s Garden and he explained the difference between distance and duration - and that hit me as a perfect analogy for maturing vs. aging. In maturity, we want to grow in specific measurables…not just get a year older, but grow in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and with man (Luke 2:52). What does maturity really mean and how can we mature as men - that’s our conversation for this episode!
