This conversation really started as I was listening to Providence by John Piper and he was explaining the biblical concept of providence - to not simply see something beforehand, but to basically say, “I’ll see to that.” God does that perfectly! He sees something and has the appropriate response that results in the highest glory to Himself. Men, we need to see and do that as well.
Think of the challenge issued by Paul in 1 Cor. 16:13 where he wrote, “Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.”
Guys, we need to see the world correctly…then have the courage to do what is needed and best for the situation around us! What is the first step - surrendering your life to Jesus so that you can have a right relationship with God and see the world through His eyes! Then, as you remain in Christ, allow Jesus to literally transform your mind and change the way that you see the world around you. Finally, pray for the courage to take action to advance the Kingdom of God (see Matt. 6:33).
