In today’s episode, we are diving into a conversation on faith and culture. What kind of posture can Christians have towards culture? Should Christians engage, run away, or embrace culture? What would it mean to redeem culture? And how has the TikTokification of culture changed the way young people engage pop culture today? These are all questions I’ll be talking about with our guest Justin Bailey.
Dr. Bailey is the professor and chair of the theology department at Dordt University, where he navigates the intersections of theology, culture, and ministry. His writings have appeared in publications like Christianity Today, Christian Scholars Review, and the International Journal of Public Theology.
As the author of Reimagining Apologetics and Interpreting Your World, Dr. Bailey has challenged and inspired many with his deep reflections on faith in our contemporary world. Beyond academia, he is also an ordained minister in the Christian Reformed Church, with a diverse pastoral experience serving in Filipino-American, Korean-American, and Anglo-American communities.
