The second Sunday of Eastertide always includes the story of doubting Thomas as an option for the Gospel reading. This is because the Gospel of John tells us that it happened on the original second Sunday of Easter, one week after the resurrection. The story of Thomas is not simply a story about doubt, but a story about our confession of faith and what it means to gather together on the Lord's Day for worship.
