Description

In the third
ever Tritheos podcast
Marathoner Nick Schuetze
walks us through his spiritual
journey and discusses the impact
Altitude
Project had and continues
to have on his life.  Altitude
Project is a Christian
distance running camp held every summer in Mammoth
Lakes, CA. Their mission is to develop
collegiate distance
runners to excel in competitive
running and Christian living.

In addition to
the interview
we discuss the failures of the
notion of rule following as part
of spirituality:

#1 It
can’t bring you to
God

#2 It
can’t make you more like God.

We also address the church-going
view that you
have to sacrifice spiritually
if you wish to excel athletically
and the opposing view, that
you have to sacrifice athletically
in order to grow spiritually”
and wonder if there might
be a third option.

I splitthis
interview up into
two parts as
Nick gave me a lot of content.
