A plan takes shape—disguises, forged identities, and a careful approach meant to slip beneath the notice of those already touched by Control. But even as the adventurers make their way toward the towering white walls of the capital, they begin to understand how thoroughly the city has changed. Silent streets, orderly lines, and expressionless guards hint at a presence far stronger than rumor suggested.
Episode 2 follows the group as they step across the threshold into enemy territory, navigating a city where every gaze feels watched and every breath feels monitored. What awaits at the heart of this place remains unseen—but the path toward the throne room has begun.
About the Chronicle
13th Age: Control is a standalone dark fantasy one-shot set in a world after the classic clash of good vs. evil has already been “won.” Instead of playing noble champions of the Empire, the group steps into the boots (and claws) of villains, monsters, and outcasts brought together by a single shared interest: they need people to stay capable of wanting things—even if those wants are ugly.
It’s a compact story built to showcase 13th Age’s big, swingy action and its flexible, icon-driven worldbuilding—all through the eyes of the so-called bad guys trying to keep the world from being “saved” into obedience.
