On the first Sunday in the New Year, Methodists often have a Covenant Service where they renew their relationship with God and reflect upon the work they are called to do. Revd. Gill Songer reflects on this, with readings from Deut 29: 10-15 and Mark 14: 22-25 read by Paul. The songs today are “Joy to the world, the Saviour comes”, “O Come All Ye Faithful”, “It came upon the midnight clear” and “Here I am Lord (I the Lord of sea and sky)”.
