THE KIMI KATO SHOW with Jeremiah - Featuring "Christmas in Japan"

Christmas in Japan differs from the traditional religious holiday you've experienced in Western countries. Instead, it’s more of a festive, romantic, fun-filled time.

Christmas Eve in Japan is often compared to Valentine’s Day. The focus is more on couples. Couples book fancy dinners, exchange gifts, and take romantic strolls under twinkling lights. Christmas in Japan is a unique blend of Western influence and Japanese culture.

It’s all about illuminations, decorations, and Kentucky Fried Chicken! Yes, Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Have you seen the incredible illuminations in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka? This a tradition you will see across the country. The streets glow with lights, and some places like Roppongi Hills and Kobe’s Luminarie are world-famous for their stunning displays.

Japan is also about the Christmas cake, a beautifully decorated sponge cake with strawberries and whipped cream. Families pick them up at convenience stores or bakeries.

And don't forget the Kentucky Fried Chicken! Find out why - In this episode of Christmas in Japan on The Kimi Kato Show!
