Description

This sermon reflects on Isaiah 6 and the transforming power of seeing God’s holiness. The speaker begins with gratitude for God’s mercy and forgiveness, then turns to Isaiah’s vision of the Lord—high, lifted up, and surrounded by seraphim declaring His holiness. In that light, Isaiah suddenly sees himself truthfully: undone, unclean, and unworthy. The message emphasizes that when we truly behold God’s glory, we see ourselves as we are, and that conviction is a gift that leads to cleansing, just as the coal from the altar purified Isaiah’s lips. The preacher warns that today many try to lower God to human terms, avoiding His glory because it exposes sin, yet the church’s calling is to shine with that very glory so the world can see Him through us. God’s reveals, purges, and transforms—and His people are meant to live close enough to Him that His glory is unmistakable.
