I did it. We hosted a live podcast event, and it actually went well. So why did I leave with such an unexpected feeling?
In this solo episode, I’m reflecting on what it was like to bring the podcast to life in front of a live audience, including all the fears and doubts I had in the lead-up. I talk about the pressure I put on myself, the relief I felt when it was finally over, and what it was like to realize that something I’d been so nervous about had turned into a genuinely good experience.
But the most surprising part came at the end. I felt sad that there are people I can't share this with.
It was an unexpected reminder that even when we’re proud of ourselves, accomplish something meaningful, or have a moment worth celebrating, those experiences can bring up complicated feelings about the people we wish we could share them with.
This episode is about facing your fears, letting yourself feel proud of what you’ve done, and navigating the emotions that can surface when success doesn’t feel quite how you expected it to.
Because sometimes the hardest part isn’t doing the thing. It’s figuring out what to do with everything you feel afterward.
