What is the cost of discipleship? “Then said Jesus unto His disciples, If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me” (Matthew 16:24). We are called to surrender all to Jesus. We are to put to death our rights to direct our own lives. We must die daily to the world and be willing to face whatever physical, emotional, and social obstacles that choosing Jesus in a sinful and wicked world may cause.
