The Hidden Life: A Study in Colossians Week 2
The word gospel gets used a lot in church. But what do Christians mean when they talk about the gospel? After all, the word gospel means "good news." So what is this good news and what effect does this news have on our world and our lives? We worked through these ideas and more in week two of our study through Colossians.
About this series: Our society places high value on visibility, but there is a hidden life the attention economy can't compete with. It's a life that doesn't just have less noise, but more peace. A life that doesn't just have less confusion, but more truth. A life that doesn't have self-imposed purpose, but an eternal one. There is a hidden life only Jesus can offer. Or in the apostle Paul's words a life "hidden with Christ in God." To receive and embrace this life is to experience a peace and power and purpose that can never be taken away. In this sermon series in the book of Colossians we will explore what it means to experience life in Christ.
